Help us raise $270 to bring running water to their bathroom
Girls who get their time of the month at school have multiple challenges in the high temperatures of the desert heat. Most of these girls do not have proper dresses let alone underwear or pads. Personal hygiene products are a luxury for them. Often they deal with pain and discomfort. They have a small shack that has no water and only a small fan to reduce the heat of the Afar desert, with 2 mattresses on the floor without sheets. Our Gender Club can help supply them with underwear and pads. Through this club we hope to provide them with running water in their bathroom. The basic infrastructure already exists, all we need is $270 to make this wish a reality.
Help us raise $540 to provide matts for all their classrooms
The students of Simbile Elementary School do not have furniture so they sit on dirt floors for all their classes. Help us provide the kids with matts, to keep them and their notes and homework clean and motivate them to come to school and learn each day.
Help us set up a ICT Lab for Burga and Simbile School. We only need to raise $480!
Internet access makes an immeasurable difference educating students. Often a teacher teaches 80-100 kids in a class with very little chance to interact with the students within a 45 minutes period. Not to mention they only have a handful of books and no access to printers. Access to the internet through computers and printers means access to knowledge and teaching materials that otherwise would not exist.
Help us raise $400 to provide 3 schools with School Supplies
These schools are lacking basic school supplies, such as paper, note books, pencils and chalk. Help us provide these school with these supplies. We only need to raise $133.33 per school to cover their costs.
Donate $50 to cover 1 month of Tutoring for Grade 8 Students
68% of students in remote areas of Ethiopia are failing the standardized tests. This is not due to their ability but due to the lack of teachers and the huge teacher to student ratio. Help us keep these kids in school and help them to a brighter future!
